About GMPA
Greater Memphis Paralegal Alliance, Inc. (GMPA) incorporated on January 1, 1993 and became an affiliate association of the National Association of Legal Assistants, Inc. Prior to that, the organization was the Memphis Chapter of The Tennessee Paralegal Association. Educational luncheon meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month.
Paralegals
Paralegals are a distinguishable group of persons who assist attorneys in the delivery of legal services. Through formal education, training and experience, paralegals have knowledge and expertise regarding the legal system and substantive and procedural law that qualifies them to do legal work under the supervision of an attorney.
Ethics
All GMPA members are bound by the Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility as adopted by the National Association of Legal Assistants, Inc.
